The challenge
- A short delivery window: the solution had to be designed and implemented on a tight schedule.
- Rules and standards to uphold: the system had to meet the strict requirements that apply to EU-funded projects.
- Reuse of existing components: the goal was to minimize development and build on what was already available.
- Support for future programs: the system had to handle new funding programs throughout the programming period.
The solution
The project was built on the Solvedio platform, which serves as the core of the POSPRI system. The solution is connected to national registries, including the Register of Natural Persons (RFO), which made it possible to verify applicant data automatically and eliminate a source of errors. Clearly defined workflows mean the system can guide less experienced staff through the entire decision process.
The architecture was designed as SaaS (Software as a Service), so the number of users scales flexibly with the demands of individual programs and with the administrative capacity of the agency.
Implementation
The project ran through the standard phases:
- business analysis,
- solution design,
- implementation,
- testing.
Delivery took roughly 12 months, after which the system went into production. It has been actively maintained and further developed for the past three years, including the addition of new programs and ongoing process optimization.
Results and benefits
- Automated processing: applications are handled efficiently, with minimal manual intervention.
- Simpler decision-making: workflows made it possible to involve a wider group of staff, including staff without specialist methodological expertise.
- Scalability: as a SaaS solution, capacity is easy to increase when application volumes rise.
- A complete processing cycle: from intake through the decision to the generation of standardized documents.
“POSPRI allowed us to run the Obnov dom program efficiently, and other programs after it. What we value most is the flexibility of the solution and how quickly it can be adapted to new requirements.” – Project Manager, Slovak Environment Agency
